Role Overview The Warehouse Supervisor leads all warehouse activities; including, shipping, receiving, and record keeping. The role is responsible for leading the Material Handling team (6 direct reports) to provide an uninterrupted flow of materials to and from the production lines. The Warehouse Supervisor also owns managing transportation of Finished Goods (FG) and Raw Materials (RM) to and from offsite storage warehouses (3PL) and customers. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions Oversight of preparation of FG loads; including, stretch wrapping, staging, loading Ownership of CHEP program management, including all record keeping Management of finished goods transport to 3PLs to minimize FG inventory at WPC Responsible for achieving optimal shipping costs by executing shipments and maximizing loads according to contracted freight rates or spot buy quotes Manage day-to-day relationship with carriers Coordinate transportation, logistics, customs, duties and other relevant regulatory requirements within the supply chain Liaise with Customer Service and Supply Chain Coordinator to manage inbound / outbound shipments Coordinate with Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure inbound RM and outbound FG are aligned to production schedule Responsible for overall maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse consistent with strict cleaning practices and protocol Organize equipment management (maintenance) and repair recommendations Daily operational checklists for all equipment Using standard business software (Microsoft Office) products and our computer system (AX – dynamics)properly process business transactions and communicate and organize information effectively. Leadership, coaching, personal development of Material Handling team; including insuring compliance with health & safety regulations and practices Ownership of employee training on processes, systems (AX, SF), equipment operation Hold daily meetings with all shifts to coordinate execution of production schedule and FG shipments Oversight of material movements related to schedule execution Ensure appropriate scanning is consistently executed for all material and FG movements Ensure shipping spec sheets are updated in binder as they come from QA and that pallets are wrapped according to specs Ownership of waste disposal, including record keeping, Recycling, Slop drums Benefits: Extended health care Vision care Life insurance Vacation & paid time off On-site parking Dental care Company pension Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $40,536.00 to $51,407.00 /year Experience: Microsoft Office and AX: 5 years (Preferred) Leadership of material handling team: 5 years (Required) shipping and receiving: 5 years (Required) optimizing shipping costs: 5 years (Preferred) * Coordinate transportation, logistics, customs, duties, etc: 5 years (Preferred) preparation of FG goods: 5 years (Preferred) managing shipping carriers: 5 years (Required) manage inbound / outbound shipments: 5 years (Preferred) overall maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse: 5 years (Preferred) Work remotely: No
