LEC Custom Products Inc. is a premier contract manufacturer of health and beauty care products. *Please Note: At this time, this role will not be eligible for benefits* The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software to 3 manufacturing locations located within Brampton/Mississauga. The role will provide assistance and maintenance to all computer systems and hardware, which may include installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software, as well as fixing any issue related to the equipment that may come up on a daily basis. Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Respond to queries either in person or over the phone. Write training manuals. Train computer users. Respond to email messages for customers seeking help. Ask questions to determine nature of problem. Walk customer through problem-solving process. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software. Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems. Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems. Install computer peripherals for users. Follow up with employee to ensure issue has been resolved. Gain feedback from customers about computer usage. Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur. Set up new hires with computers and necessary hardware and system access (e.g. phones, printers, networks, etc.) and maintain user access Setting up new users and removing access to existing users Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks Setting up accounts for new users Replacing and sourcing new equipment as necessary, liasing with external supplier on hardware and software Make recommendations to mangment regarding resolution to ongoing issues (e.g. recurring system concerns or process and possible permanenet solutions) Qualification Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role A technical, logical thought process Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control Experience with data management/backup best practices Experience with Business Continuity planning Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products Excellent communication and customer service skills Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions An ability to stick to strict deadlines with minimal direction A keen eye for detail Dynamics 365 knowledge and or experience and asset.
